GAUSS at the 10th IAA Symposium on the Future of Space Exploration

GAUSS is taking part in the 10th IAA Symposium on the Future of Space Exploration – Towards the Moon Village and Beyond, organized by the International Academy of Astronautics (IAA) and Politecnico di Torino on 27-29 June 2017, in Torino, Italy. 

The International forum, aiming at fostering cooperation in Human and Robotics Space Exploration, is an occasion to contribute to the academic discussions concerning the future of Space Exploration, participate in the brainstorming and encourage new ideas and initiatives on the topic.  

The symposium is prompting from the results of IAA activities related to programs beyond Low Earth Orbit (LEO) and outlines the Moon Village vision, a possible subsequent step for humans over and above LEO and a potential path to Mars exploration. 

Papers related to the following subjects Technology, Science, Programmatics, Economics, Ethical and Cultural aspects of the Moon Village and beyond are presented. 

Professor Filippo Graziani, as a Member of the International Academy of Astronautics, has participated in the welcoming address and has been the Moderator of the Round Table “Towards the Moon Village”.
