GAUSS at the “Spaceflight Dynamics and Control” Workshop in Portugal

GAUSS participates in the 10th International Workshop and Advanced School “Spaceflight Dynamics and Control” on March 16-18, 2016, at the Faculty of Engineering of the University of Beira Interior, in Covilhã, Portugal.

Organized by the Centre for Mechanical and Aerospace Sciences and Technologies of the University of Beira Interior, in collaboration with the Faculty of Science of Lisbon University and the Institute of Astrophysics and Space Science, sponsored by the International Academy of Astronautics and the International Astronautical Federation, the event gathers experts of the aerospace sector and is destined to University students and researchers too.

Space technology structures and perspectives, mission analysis, spacecrafts and other topics related to the Space Systems are under the spotlights: a number of well-known specialists in astrodynamics coming from all over the world give lectures and present works on these range of subjects.

GAUSS is to give two presentations: one on the Italian aeronautics pioneer, Gaetano Arturo Crocco, who studied interplanetary space mission using the gravity-assist, titled “Crocco Mission 60 years later” and the other one is an overview of GAUSS enterprises, including the history of UniSat-6, the most recent orbiting satellite created by the Company, titled “GAUSS activities and innovative multipurpose micro satellites”.
